Product Compliance for discrete Manufacturing is a Component as part of SAP EHSM (add-on to SAP ECC). SAP EHSM Product Compliance supports companies to comply with global legislation such as EU RoHS, IMDS as well as REACh. The solution is flexible to adopt multiple Regulatory or Customer specific Substances Lists. Each Regulatory List contains its own list of Substances with each their own threshold values and possible Exemptions (if applicable) and definition if the Substance is prohibited or declarable.
Each Product, Component and Homogeneous Material will be checked against the Regulatory Lists which are defined and will calculate the Compliance Status for each. Depending on the Legislation the results will be rolled up to Saleable Product Level and will define if the Saleable Product contains prohibited or declarable substances.
SAP EHSM Product Compliance provides integration capabilities (via AI) to IMDS and is furthermore completely integrated with other SAP modules, such as Material Management and Sales and Distribution. The solution provides the capability to import Full Material Declarations (FMD’s) in accordance with IPC-1752A provided by Suppliers. A guided user friendly interface is provided (via NWBC) to import the IPC XML files and match the incoming data with the internal data.
